Charm'd, I'm Sure

Project Overview
The concept of the project was to make a charm for my client that closely resembles that person. This will be done to be able to be attached to the client's backpack. The volume cannot be more than 0.875 cubic inches in volume and the charm has to be made of PLA plastic. The charm must fit within a 3-inch by 3-inch by 0.25-inch glass box.
Generating Concepts
When generating concepts, the first thing I did was to figure out what some things were that were significant to my client. These included topics such as soccer, music, and movies. Then I decided to give my client a short survey to narrow down the concept. The result of the survey concluded that my client's favorite soccer team is Chelsea.

Developing a Solution
My client loves soccer. From the survey, I created three different sketches based on the results. When she saw the sketches, she was shocked. Instinctively, I decided to create an Isometric sketch of the Chelsea soccer team logo to see if she would like the design. The client accepted my sketch, which was crucial to designing a 3d model of the sketch.

Construct / Test a Prototype
After making my 3d sketch, I decided that I would make an actual 3d design in my computer-aided design program. I took into account different shapes and especially sizes of everything to make my charm pop with different elevations

Evaluating a Design
Hurdles
Some of the struggles I faced were during the actual 3d print; some of my prints fell off. The circles I created on the outside were perfect for a keychain, but it appeared I had made too many.
Questions
A concern I had with my prototype was why my print fell off. I felt like I could have cut down some more of the charm to make it pop, to make it feel more dynamic.
Improvements
Some improvements I would make in the future are to fix my problem with making lines thicker. Something else I would change is adding a smoother background with different elevations where the figure is. For example, stripped lines are just added to add more detail to the charm.
Present Solution
Final Design
My 3d printed charm was a succes that my client loved even with some of the parts on the circle felt like it turned into keychain holes which my client loved because it gave the charm different ways to join into a keychain for the client backpack.
