Introduction:

We were tasked to developed a Library for the Portland Waterfront at Naito Parkway to take advantage of their open land and transform the publics park into a public library. The final design was developed to create large open windows for a view towards the ocean, cafe with tables in a outside courtyard, and large open spaces that can be used as venues or event, or conferences meetings.

Floor Plan

This Library is a two story that includes I-beam structures as supports, as well as fire escape routes with elevators located in the north west and south east side of the building. The building take into a acount office spaces for employees as well as restroom location and noise reduction.
